Cain called Jeb down and filled him in on the kidnapping. DG became pale and nearly passed out. Glitch and Cain helped her lay down on the couch.

" I didn't menton Jeb being alive. I think. She's basically had three shocks ,one right after another." Glitch explained.

Jeb came over. DG looked at him with his missing arm. She mouth 'sorry'. He mouthed 'worth it.' " Dad , Glitch and I will go to the palace and get information. I'd like if both of you stayed here. If we make any progress we'll let you know but right now neither of you are in any shape to think rationally. Just take of DG ,Dad."

Cain never took his eyes off DG ,who was still looking at both Cain and Jeb like they were the walking dead. Cain nodded. Glitch and Jeb left. DG motioned him to come closer. He reluctantly did. Although he knew he deserved every smack she could dish out ,he wasn't looking forward to it. Lucky for him that wasn't her plan.

Her hands studied his face. Her eyes never left his. " Your real? " DG was still in shock. He nodded yes. " You have silver hair now. "

" I know." He smiled weakly. Gods how he missed her touch. Her hands was still on his face. He wanted so much to take her in his arms and make her his but now was not the time.

" I have a son but you know that. He always says 'blonde angel'. He was talking about you. I thought your spirit watched over us but it was really you. All of you : heart ,body, and soul. Why? How? When?"

" I was captured ,tortured. My body is pretty scarred up . Jeb came looking for me and got worse beatings than I did. Finally we managed to escape. I found out later it was your marriage that weakened the enemies . You saved my life - again. We came home and I saw your son. Your perfect ,sweet son. He's so much like you. Yes I watched over you both ,even your hu - husband. I didn't want your son growing up without a father like my son did. Obviously fate had other plans.

I didn't want to complicate your life. You were married. Arranged or not you were not mine to have and I would have made you mine. Gods it's been hard. Seeing you , wanting you. Wishing to share my life with you. I was planning to marry you. I even had the ring but I went wait until I come back she'll be waiting. Of all people I should know you shouldn't waste a moment or expect life to go as planned. I took it for granted and paid the price yet again."

DG grinned. " You've become talkative and a romantic ,wow."

" Yeah ,I blame you. The effect you have on me. You changed too. Glitch was right you built a wall around your heart. The only time I've seen it down is around your son."

" I had too. I lost you. I became the old you basically ,didn't I ? The you I first met ? ' Hearts got nothing to do with it'."

" I never wanted that to happen. I never wanted you to go through the things that lead a person to be that. I wanted to protect you from that. I failed."

" Help me find my son."

" That's what all of us are doing."

" If you seriously think I'm gonna sit back and have other people find my son than you never knew me at all." She got up. " You know Zero better than anybody. I know how my son would react. We were always better together. " She reached out her hand to his. " Your just gonna end up following me anyway."

He held her hand. " True. " He sighed. " You have the DG face, oh boy."

" DG face ?"

" Yeah ,your son got that too. It's that determined, stubborn face. The one thing I've never been able to conquer ,kinda annoying."

They walked out together to his stables. They got on two white horses. She looked at him . "If it makes you feel any better C.J. constantly gives me that look. It really is annoying but hopelessly cute. I can't wait till you two offically meet each other. I'm glad your alive."

" Me too ,DG .Me too. One of Zero's old hideouts is not far from here. It's by the river."

" The river ? Near the cave with ancient markings."

" Yes."

" Raw lives there with Kalm and his mate , Kilala. Does he know your alive?"

" No he doesn't. He settled down ,good for him."

"Mhmm. Well at least I'm not the only one that was left in the dark."

" DG. " He sighed. " You looking better. Less pale."

" I've got Wyatt 'Freaking' Cain watching my son's back. I know you won't let anything happen to him. My C.J.'s life just got a lot safer."

They rode off towards the river.

" I couldn't believe you named him after my son and I."

" I wanted him to be like you and since he couldn't be yours , naming him after you was the next best thing. He's like you. I tell him about the cowboy who saved my life. I would've given anything for him to have been yours. I was so mad you didn't make love to me that night. At least I would have had your child but that was me being selfish. "

" DG , I...."

"But this is the way life turned out and I got a son I love more than my own life. I wouldn't trade him for the world. His father was a good man. Sweet , understanding, gentle. He understood me, go figure. He wasn't you though ,he wasn't you. I cared about him, I tried to love him but... Kinda makes me a horrible person. Loving you,dead or not ,when a good man like him loved me. Is this the price I pay for that?"

" No. C.J.'s kidnapping is because of one person and one person alone - Zero."

" Zero wasn't alone. A woman helped him. Brutal bitch too." DG raised up her long shirt and showed deep claw marks.

" Those can't be the marks of..... Shit ! DG we need you to get to Raw and fast !"
