dg_cain | A Diffrent Ending

Well I thought I had posted this story here but when I looked at my author tag I saw I had not. So here is the first two chapters. I do not know how many chapters this will be but at this point I have four done and I am working on The fifth.

A Different Ending

We have been on the run from the longcoats for almost two years, Sometimes it seems longer sometimes only months.

I did not know what to think when I woke up in my own bed back in Kansas.

*****Flashback*******

Wow I thought as I slowly woke up that was one hell of dream, I could not wait to go downstairs and tell my parents about it.

Imagine me a Princess of a strange land where people are locked in Tin Suits, people have zippers in there heads, and lion type creatures are physics.

I laughed out only to be startled out of my thoughts by a deep voice behind me.

"Princess I know we have been through a lot but, I have no idea what there is to laugh about." Said the voice behind me.

I stood there for a moment shaking my head trying to clear the voice out of my head no this could not be happening; I turned around to be faced with somebody I thought was just a dream.

"Cain" I said startled and started groping for something to hold on to.

He was at my side in an instant and had me in his arms before I could fall.

"No No No" I kept saying, "It was all I dream it had to be." I said

"Sorry Princess afraid to tell you it was not a dream." Cain stated

"What happened, how did we get back here?" I asked almost not wanting to know.

"We could not get the machine to shut down, we Glitch, Raw and I came running to find you." "We ran into your parents and they told us where you were at, by this point we realized there was no winning this battle." "I ran to find you while everyone else hid and decided what needed to be done." he said continuing his story.

I don't even know how I got you away from Azkadellia, I just remember grabbing you and running. When we got back to where your parents were hiding and your mother had summoned a travel storm and told me to get you out of there and keep you safe," he said

"The rest just happened so fast, I am sorry Princess that I could not do more."

Cain you did what you could did any of the others come through with you I asked.

Just then there was a loud banging on the front door.

"You stay here and do not move," he said as he ran down the stairs to see who or what was outside.

"Deegee, it is ok you come out here. He yelled from downstairs

As I slowly made my way down the stairs I was not prepared for who I saw standing in my Robo-Parents living room.

Chapter 2/?

"Deegee, it is ok you come out here. He yelled from downstairs

As I slowly made my way down the stairs I was not prepared for who I saw standing in my Robo-Parents living room.

"Glitch" I exclaimed as ran into his arms.

When I looked up at something seemed different, I just was not sure what it was.

Princess I don’t have much time, your mother sent me to bring something's to you that your father thought you made need on this side.

Glitch handed me an envelope, "What is this." I asked

Your father had somebody make up all the paperwork you Tin Man here would need to get by in this world; how he did it so quickly, I have no idea.

"I have to go now your mother can not risk using her magic for to long or Azkadellia may be able to find us." Glitch said

I felt so lonely all of sudden even knowing that Cain was going to be here with me.

I looked a Cain with questions in my eyes "Did he seem different to you?" I asked Cain as we watched are friend going not knowing if or when we would see any of them again.

Yeah he did seem like he was more Ambrose than Glitch." Cain said

As we walked back, into the house he turned and made sure the door was bolted.

"Cain, first things first unless you mean I as a term of endearment you can not call me Princess any more." He looked at as if he was going to protest but I threw my hand up to stop him. "Here I am just plain of DG Gale, waitress at The Hilltop Café."

The sound of breaking glass shook me out of my memories of the first day back in the real world, as I like to call it.

Running to find out what is going on I run right in to Cain high tailing it in my direction.

Over gunfire, I hear him yell, "Longcoats."

Cain grabbed my hand and took off running towards the kitchen and out the back door to where my old motorcycle is parked just in case of emergencies like this. As we jumped on the bike and take off, I look behind me hair flying in my face, to see them chasing us and firing their weapons at us, with as fast as we are going, they will not catch us this time. However, I know one way or another soon we will be headed back to The OZ whether as prisoners of the Longcoats or our own free will.

As I settle down my mind starts to drift again, back to that first time that Azkadellia sent Longcoats after, when the robots I thought were my parents threw me off our roof in Kansas into a tornado.

I am suddenly aware of the fact I am on the back of this bike holding on to Cain for dear life as the bike starts swerving.
