It had been a full annual since DG had disappeared from the O.Z. She had gone riding and never returned. The guard who had been watching her had been found dead. His body was found stuck in a tree. It looked like a tornado had hit the area except nobody saw a tornado or even a storm strike. Her family and friends took it hard. Cain who had been on a fishing trip with son rushed to the palace. He even became a private investigator ,investigating her disappearence. Every lead turned up cold. Ahamo would even lead an undercover team to the Other Side in hopes that maybe this possible storm had thrown her back there.

As time passed they began to lose hope. Cain however did not. On the anniversary of her disappearance he dreamed of her.
She was in a white room. He surveyed the room around her. It had bars on the small windows and restraints on the bed. She was laying down on the bed so pale. Heavy dark circles were under her eyes. Her hair was ratted and she was skinnier if that was possible.

He rushed to her bedside. " Princess!" He touched her but she didn't respond. " DG?"

" Where are you ,Cain? I can't survive here much longer." DG said so weakly.

" What are you talking about ,Kiddo? I'm right here. " He noticed she still didn't respond to his voice. " Can you hear me? See me?" Still nothing.

She got up and walked right through him. If Cain wasn't freaking out before that sealed the deal. " What in the hells is going on ?!"

DG sat down on chair near a dresser. She knocked on the dresser three times and a drawer popped out. She grabbed a razor and looked in the mirror above the dresser. Her eyes were so vacant. " Your not saving me this time are you ,Cain. Then I have no choice but to end this the only way I know how."

He knew what she was gonna do. " DG ! No!" His hand grabbed her shoulder. He felt her tense up. She looked up and gasped. He sighed in relief. " Hey there ,Princess."

DG turned around. " Cain!" She hugged his waist.

He knelt down to her level and the hugged. He teared up. " Your alive! " He touched her face. " You can feel that?" She nodded yes." Your real? Where are you ? Everyone thinks your dead."

" A tornado came out of nowhere. The next thing I remember was waking up in a hospital. I thought I was in the O.Z. but I'm in Kansas."

" We looked around Kansas."

" Cain ,I'm in a mental institution. "

His face dropped. " What? Why?"

" They think I'm crazy. Like I said I thought I was in the O.Z. I said things. So they put me here. I was beginning to think the O.Z. wasn't real. That you weren't real. I'm not imagining you right? You exist. Your here."

Cain smiled through his tears. " I'm here ,Kiddo.I don't know how but I'm here."

A female nurse came in. " Dorothy who are you talking to?"

" Cain, the Tin Man. I told you the O.Z. existed."

The nurse sighed. " You were making such progress. There's nobody there."

DG looked Cain. " I thought you were real."

" Dorothy, I think you need some assistance in making you feel better. " said the nurse. Two guards in white appeared.

" No ,please not that! " DG begged. The men grabbed her by the arms.Cain tried to free her but couldn't.His hands went right through them. " Cain! " she screamed as the dragged her out.

" DG!" He tried to follow but something kept him from walking through the door. " DG!" He yelled but they had turned a corner.

'' Wyatt Cain." said a girl's voice.

Cain looked around. Nobody. " Great now I'm hearing voices."

" Come to the mirror." said the voice.

He hesitantly walked towards the mirror. He saw a young girl with blonde hair and brown eyes. She smiled sweetly. " I'm sorry for your delay here. You see the Dorothy of my time was fond of the Scarecrow. When I was told DG was fond of one of her companions I presumed it was Glitch. I didn't realize the one that meant most of all to her in this life was you. "

Cain blushed. " Ummm.Okay. I don't think I mean that much to the Kiddo. How can I help her?"

" Silly Tin Man. You mean more to her - well not my place. You will need help protecting her on the journey you two must face."

" Journey? "

" Yes you soon will see. You must put the past in the past first otherwise DG has no future."

" I'll do it. What needs to be done?"

" You must discover it on your own I'm afraid. This will help you on your journey though. Your hand please."

" Why?"

" DG is in trouble and your the only one who can protect her. Your wasting time." He held out his hand. She put her hand over his. His hand started to burn and groaned in pain. She released him. He looked at his hand.It now had the mark that DG had on her journey. " That will guide you to her ,among other things. Go now she needs you."

" I can't walk through the door."

" Yes you can." she said before she disappeared.

Cain walked over to the doorway. He held up his hand and a blue sheild appeared then quickly broke. He stepped through the doorway and followed the glow of his hand. It brightened around an open door. He peeked in and saw DG strapped down on a bed with restraints. Her mouth was gagged and she was crying.

He raced by her side and took the gag off. " Your not real." DG whimpered. He took a moment to hug her before taking off the restraints.Cain helped her up. She looked at him oddly. " I still don't think your real."

Cain caressed her cheek. " As long as you let me help you out of here you can think I'm Glitch and I won't care...much."

" They were gonna use the machine again. It makes patients worse. One escaped that's why I'm alone.They went after her."

" Let's get out of here." He grabbed her hand and they raced down a nearby staircase.

" And where do you think your taking her !" said the nurse from before.

" You are real! " DG smiled.

" I told you so. Run!" Cain and DG ran out of the institution. The nurse was hot on their trail. They raced to the gate as soon as Cain touched it ,it opened. They raced into the nearby forest.

" She's still after us!" DG pointed out.

" Tell me something I don't know."

" Cliff!" They stopped before nearly falling off. Cain and DG looked at each other and DG hugged him. " 1.."

"3!" Cain threw them off. They screamed and hit the river below.

DG gasped in the water. " Seriously is there no two in the O.Z.!"

They held on to each other as the current took them downstream. They saw a broken metal cage floating. Cain helped her in to it then joined her. She clung to him shaking from the icy water. He was freezing as well but was more concerned about DG. " So this is the Other Side?"

" Yeah."

" It's crazier than the O.Z."

DG laughed. She didn't let go of him as they floated along. Eventually they passed out in each others arms.

Cain stirred awake.He kept his eyes closed. He held tightly to his soft pillow. What a dream? His hand rubbed his pillow. What the - When did his pillow start feeling like a...a..breast. Cain opened his eyes , they widened in shock. Holy Ozma! DG was staring at him flushed in the face and his hand was.....yeah touching her breast.

" Oh my Gods! AAAcchhooo!"

" Cain your sneezing."

" I noticed.Achooo!"

DG laughed.

" It's not funny! Achhoo!" Cain said nasily.

" It wouldn't be funny if it was happening to me. You ,it's funny."

DG got up and looked around. She quit laughing. They were surrounded by sand...and no water. " Where are we?"

" Achoo!"
